The name Trittenheimer Apotheke probably does not go back to a medical origin, but rather has its origin in the fact that in earlier times an abbey was the owner of this vineyard.

Château Climens – 1er Cru des Barsac
After exquisite Rieslings and various very good Pinot Noir, Hans served a Barsac 1er Cru 2001 from Château Climens at the end. The AOC Barsac corresponds to the area of the municipality of Barsac, one of the five municipalities of the Sauternes appellation. However, the approximately 400 hectares of the Barsac appellation are located west of the Ciron, opposite the four other Sauternes communities east of the Ciron. Barsac, lying flat on a plain sloping towards the Garonne, … Read more ...
Beckers Muscat Ottonel – sweet wine with style
The cat under the plum tree is not exactly the fox in the vineyard, but it reminded me of the recently acquired Muscat Ottonel from Friedrich Becker, or rather its label.

Scheurebe TBA from the steep slope specialist

The appellation, called in the Hungarian OEM, which is comparable to area with a protected designation of origin, covers almost 1,800 hectares of vineyards. The white varieties are mainly found on mostly loess-like deposits on limestone and sandstone.
Fragrant strawberry aromas from Podersdorf

The name Lentsch can be found often around Lake Neusiedl. So I first thought of the Gasthaus zur Dankbarkeit, where I had already eaten very well and also enjoyed wine of the Lentsch
Gewürztraminer Auslese – Orange By Nature?
The warning, “Careful! The Zwölberich Orange by Nature Gewürztraminer Auslese noble sweet is not a typical white wine, but a so-called Orange Wine” first made me aware of the wine I tasted. The additional note “fermented on the mash” did the rest: my curiosity about what a sweet wine of an aromatic variety is like after this mash fermentation was aroused.
Sweet Sauvignon Blanc from Rueda
Rueda, a Spanish white wine appellation in Castilla y León, which used to be characterized by liqueur wines, now produces Rueda, a dry, fruity and at the same time light white wine made from Verdejo and Viura. Since the 1980s, monovarietal Sauvignon Blanc wine has also increasingly been produced.
Riesling Kabinett with a backbone

The VDP.Grosse Lage® Götzenberg, from which the grapes for the tasted wine come, is located in a round basin in the Uhlbach district of Stuttgart, protected from north and east winds. The easily to warming sandstone reed floor of the site, as well as an often blowing warm, strong valley wind, enable the Riesling grapes growing there to ripen for a long time.
